Position title: Exact Sciences
I am Janae Winston and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I am New York Born (Islip/Long Island) and Texas Raised (Sugarland). I completed my individually designed major at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and obtained two Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Health Care Inequities and Gender and Women’s Studies with a Certificate in Health and Humanities.
I am passionate about health and educational equity and I’ve spend my undergraduate and professional years working alongside executive and senior leadership within academic, medical, and academic medical institutions. My professional work has been geared towards the design and implementation of long- and short-term training initiatives with foci in diversity equity and inclusion, workforce retention, workforce/professional/leadership development.
I currently serve as a Corporate Trainer at Exact Sciences, beyond my role I am an educator, a facilitator, an advocate for holistic health, and a learning enthusiast! My passions for health and advocacy are inextricable to my vocation and purpose as an educator. When reflecting on my organization’s current state, there is ample opportunity to directly apply educational psychology and learning analytical practices to enhance our learner’s experiences, drive success within the organization and shape internal training practices. Currently we sit at a level one on the Kirkpatrick Model, emphasizing quantitative reaction. The competencies I will gain in the MSEPLA program will enable me to leverage strategies to help the organization transition to level two on the Kirkpatrick Model, emphasizing qualitative and quantitative learning
