Martina Rau

Dr. Rau is a former professor in the Learning Sciences program area, specializing in learning with visual representations in STEM. She is now a professor at ETH Zurich.
Much of her research involves development and evaluation of educational technologies. She received her Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University, and a BA/MA in Psychology from the University of Freiburg (Germany). Her research focuses on learning with multiple external representations in educational technologies. She uses a multi-methods approach to integrate learning outcome measures and process-level measures.
Martina was the co-developer for EdPsych 525: Learning Analytics Theory and Practice and EdPsych 615: Conversations and Visualizations
