ENGAGING STUDENT COMMUNICATIONS
Lauren Kainrath is a communications specialist for the School of Education at UW–Madison. Her work involves regular communication with undergraduate students whose majors span the arts, health, and education fields. Additionally, she supports communication efforts and strategy for undergraduate enrollment for the School of Education. Lauren received a BA in Interactive Convergent Media and graduated summa cum laude from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. Before moving to Wisconsin, she began her journey in higher education as an admission counselor for North Central College.

As a skilled writer guided by context and mode of communication, Lauren’s passion for language and storytelling aligns with her current role which allows her to write in various tones, styles, and moods. From punchy marketing phrases to thoughtful articles, Lauren hopes her readers feel a certain spark with her writing. Her innate curiosity to uncover truth and meaning has led to this new and exciting journey of learning how to harness data to tell even more compelling stories. She aspires to use writing and data to develop strategies and methods for positive change in education.
