DATA MANAGER
Angie currently works as a Data Manager for Creo College Prep, a 5th-8th grade Charter School located in the Bronx, NY. Her responsibilities include the upkeep of the school’s Student Information System, reporting staff, student, and course data to the New York State of Education Department, and curating weekly data reports of students attendance, behavior, and course performance so that the school’s Leadership Team can brainstorm the type of support the student’s may need. She holds a BS from Cornell University in Information Science with minors in Latinx Studies and Inequality Studies.
EMPOWERING THE MARGINALIZED
Angie is skilled at making people of all walks of life feel seen and heard. Her undergraduate involvements such as the DREAM Team, an organization fighting for the rights of DACAmented/Undocumented students, Underrepresented Minorities in Computing, a community of computer science students promoting diversity in the computing fields, and volunteering at local community centers helping tutor grade school students all helped shape her love for advocacy. She then went on to jumpstart her professional career at a non-profit helping Black and Latinx college students secure opportunities in the technology sector and later pivoted to working at a school directly so she may utilize her technology skills to make a positive difference in one’s academic journey.
