“Through my work experience, I have seen many students struggle with challenge when they first enter college, especially international students adjusting to a new education system the same time. I joined the Learning Analytics program to strengthen my ability to support them through data interpretation and communication.”

SUPPORTING COMMUNITY COLLEGE STUDENT SUCCESS

Claire is an academic advisor at University Bridge, where she supports students studying at California community colleges as they work toward transferring to four-year universities. She specializes in academic planning, transfer advising, and cross-cultural communication. Claire works closely with students, families, and faculty to promote academic success and personal growth. She is especially proud of supporting students who have struggled academically, to help them rebuild confidence, re-engage with their education, and redefine their path. Claire graduated in UCLA major in Economics in 2017 and later she discovered her true passion working with students, which led her to a career in academic advising.

CONNECTING STUDENTS AND CULTURAL TRADITIONS

Claire is passionate about supporting students through academic and cultural transitions, especially those adjusting to life and learning in a new country. Having moved to the U.S. after high school and experienced the challenge of learning English as a second language, she deeply understands the obstacles many international students face. She brings empathy, cross-cultural awareness, and strategic guidance into her advising to help students adapt and grow. Claire believes every student has unique potential, and that every student deserves the chance to shine.
