Matthew has been an online educator for the past 10 years. He is passionate about making a college education exceptional and accessible. What Matthew loves most about what he does is coaching faculty to create innovative online experiences for students and observe how to make a college education possible for students who may not have the opportunity otherwise. Matthew is currently the Associate Dean of Online Education at Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL. In this role, he works collaboratively with faculty to design online curriculum, provide faculty training, and oversees all of the undergraduate and graduate online programs. He is also an adjunct faculty member for Trinity as well as Clarks Summit University (Clarks Summit, PA), & the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater.

Matthew’s previous education includes: PhD in Educational Studies (Trinity Evangelical Divinity School), MSEd in Learning Design & Technology (Purdue University), MDiv in Systematic Theology (Baptist Bible Seminary), & B.S. in Biblical Studies (Moody Bible Institute). Overseeing online programs, Matthew sees his primary goal as developing a more nuanced approach in the design of online curriculum. He would also like to be better positioned to design matrices to coach students through a more personalized curriculum so they are successful.
