“My time in the Learning Analytics Master’s Program was spent collaborating, reflecting, and broadening my perspectives. Collaborating with my peers in each course allowed me to authentically improve my soft skills along with my technical skills through exposure and experience. The essential practice of reflection-in-action throughout the program helped my growth mindset expand beyond measure and made me more aware of who I am as a researcher, analyst, and contributor. 

One of my main takeaways from this program is the importance behind the principle that ‘the more voices [are] at the table, the better.’ Great things happen when perspectives are broadened by listening to those other voices at the table. Whether they represent stakeholders, subject matter experts, or under-represented groups – their feedback ultimately strengthens the initiative at hand. My confidence as a Data Analyst grew immensely as a result of this program. Overall, my personal and professional lives are far richer after working with my all-star cohort and our incredible faculty & TAs.”

As a Reporting & Data Analyst in the health and wellness industry, Morgan functions as a liaison between stakeholders (65k+ domestic, international organizations) and IT developers. Beyond translating technical requirements, she also completes all customer-facing ad-hoc data requests across the business. She helps discover gaps in reporting opportunities and aims to create new reporting and data solutions to benefit the business at large. Most recently, her focus shifted into the data visualization sphere after her 2nd year in the Learning Analytics program. Prior to starting her career, Morgan graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2016 earning a B.A. in Psychology and Spanish with a Certificate in Business.

Morgan applies her attention to detail and enthusiasm to everything she encounters. She is passionate about leveraging data analytics to find and inform meaningful opportunities for improvement which, in turn, lead to actionable solutions. Following her years spent studying Spanish language and culture, she is also an advocate for second language acquisition and cultural awareness. This motivates her to continue learning and practicing new languages in her free time. She is most interested in finding an intersection of her two favorite topics – data analytics & languages – to drive cultural awareness at a higher level. If you don’t see her on Zoom with her cat(s) vying for the camera, she’s most likely working on a 1000+ piece puzzle to keep that attention to detail up to snuff.
