MONTESSORI HIGH SCHOOL BIOLOGY AND CHEMISTRY TEACHER

Jianni Labato is an educator, where he teaches Honors Chemistry and Biology at a Montessori High School. He received his Bachelors of Arts in Global Studies and Environmental Studies from Arizona State University. During his time in Teach For America, Jianni also received his Masters of Education at Arizona State University where he deepened his knowledge and passion for education. Outside of school he is a girls soccer coach for his high school and volunteers his time at a college access camp known as Camp Catanese.

CREATING AND ACCESSING OPPORTUNITIES

Jianni is passionate about the intersections of data and education. As an educator that is committed to creating equal opportunities for college access, he recognizes that one of the most impactful lessons he can teach is how to help students access the tools needed for higher education. Whether through tutoring for college placement tests or helping students navigate access to financial aid and other resources, Jianni uses his knowledge to support student success. In the future, he hopes to expand his impact by using data to be able to demonstrate the effectiveness of programs on student achievement. He hopes to support the growth of students in a variety of capacities through different instructional practices.
