Yichen Lee, PhD

Yichen Lee is a certified K-12 Mandarin teacher in New York, Wisconsin and Taiwan and has developed and taught online courses for high school and college students for 10 years. She is fascinated by technological innovations and corresponding applications that transform teaching practices and student learning. Passionate about education, she is eager to acquire new tools and analytical skills that can contribute to teaching, learning and research in virtual settings as well as equality issues in education. Yichen received her bachelor’s degree in Education Studies and Chinese Language and Literature from National Taiwan Normal University and her PhD degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a minor in Second-Language Acquisition from University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has taught at SUNY-Albany and currently works as a visiting assistant professor at Bard College.
