Amanda Venske serves as the Education Benefits Specialist for University Veteran Services. As a dependent of a retired Wisconsin Army National Guard service member, she received support from the University Veteran Services office while earning her B.S. in Education Studies from UW-Madison in 2020. Amanda is honored to help military-connected students navigate higher education and assist students to best use the education benefits they deserve. Prior to her position at University Veteran Services, Amanda was a Research Intern at Madison Education Project (MEP), a Research-Practice Partnership housed within the Wisconsin Center for Education Research (WCER). As a Learning Analytics student, Amanda is interested in engaging further with data situated in higher education, particularly for first-generation college students, military-connected students, and women in analytics to further what she believes is the mission of learning analytics: using technical skills to improve lives.
