As a passionate English educator and interpreter, Yiting Wen served as an assistant professor and program director at the Civil Aviation University, Tianjin, China. Before that, she received her bachelor’s degree in English and her master’s degree in Interpretation and Translation (of English and Chinese) from Nankai University, China. With a great interest in inter-cultural communication, Yiting went on behalf of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and attended the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Regional Convention on Energy Saving and Emission Reduction. Being infatuated with  interdisciplinary research, Yiting worked as a visiting scholar at the Northwestern Institute on Complex Systems (NICO) and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Yiting was very attracted by the practical use of quantitative and qualitative data analysis and how to apply data mining techniques to educational datasets. After completing this program in learning analytics, Yiting looks forward to thoroughly acquiring rudimentary knowledge and hands-on training to support student learning and also be capable of providing professional learning analytics assessments for organizations or institutions.
